Lemonade Stand

Who doesn’t love a cold glass of lemonade on hot day? Teach your child about the value of a dollar while selling lemonade.

What you need:

  • Cardboard
  • Markers
  • Table and Chairs
  • Lemonade and cups

What you do:

  • Create the stand using a table, chairs and any other fun items you’d like to decorate with.
  • You and your children can design the signs to advertise your new business.
  • Make some yummy lemonade and discuss volume measurements such as cup, pint and tablespoon.

What you can talk about:

  • Figure out how much it will cost to start up.
  • What should you charge for each glass?
  • How much do you need to sell to make back the start up costs?
  • Younger children can learn the names of coins and how much they are worth while exchanging money with customers.
